Having completed studies with distinctions in Horticulture and Garden Design in 1998, Gayle Otto began practice as A Room with a View – Garden Design.

Over the last 10 years, this talented designer and her construction team have created unique garden designs to reflect their clients' individuality and lifestyle. Addressing aesthetic and practical issues they produce gardens with unity, soul and long lasting appeal. Their design philosophy is based on sustainability with a focus on the selection of climate compatible plants which thrive in their context and serve their real function - to add value to our living environments and create a haven to foster well-being.

The garden designs of A Room with a View are as varied as the personalities of their clients and include informal, formal, native, mediterranean, coastal and contemporary gardens. They also embrace client requests for themed gardens including Japanese, Balinese and Moroccan gardens.

A Room with a View offers consultations, garden design and planning and design construction to create - ‘a sense of place’.
