An uncomplicated structure and form belies a sophisticated architectural solution. Merging Mediterranean charm with modern Australian living, the Islands South Beach development comprises 99 luxury residences, club facilities and discrete part basement parking.

Winner of the 2009 UDIA (WA) Environmental Excellence Award, the project is a flagship Stockland development in Australasia and exemplifies innovative residential design, balancing opulence with a concern for ecology.

Four, five-storey plus mezzanine apartment buildings face west and towards the Indian Ocean. The staggered alignment of these buildings creates northern aspects with four entrance forecourts with individual character to the east and four unique beach courtyards to the west. The gradual setback from the beach also provides unimpeded views of Fremantle Marina to the north west and shelters communal areas from the Fremantle Doctor.

The distinct entrance courtyards and beach forecourts represent a sequence of four coastal ‘habitats’ accessible to all of Island’s residents. The northernmost building engages with the neighbouring park via a vibrant commercial strip.
