This suburban Sydney residence, designed to grow with the family, is an HIA "Home of the Year" award winner for its bushland, easy living lifestyle design.

For owner’s who like to entertain regularly, it was important for the design to incorporate a strong indoor – outdoor relationship and both internal and external areas which could function equally well for different use simultaneously.

The residence takes advantage of the 180 degrees of bush views whilst also creating small areas of landscaping that are easy to maintain. The kitchen fully opens to the tiled entertaining area which leads to the pool and works equally well for outdoor family meals through to parties for 200 people. The entertainment area which houses a games room as well as a home theatre flows out to an outdoor undercover BBQ, al-fresco and grassed area making it perfect for living for all age groups and weather conditions.

A bright colour palette has been used both on the exterior and interior to give life and energy to the house. The interior holds a contemporary feel with clean lines and the use of natural materials such as timber floor and lime stone tiles which link the exterior with the interior.
