Award winning practice founded in 1996. The open studio-based practice methodology has produced a diverse range of buildings, which have been published both locally and abroad.

Bird de la Coeur Architects P/L is an award winning design-based practice. Their work has a strong connection to its site and place; the directors work closely with their clients to achieve site-specific outcomes. The practice has received RAIA Awards as well as State Government Awards for their residential work, which has also been widely published.

The practice has worked for many years with Coles Myer (on more than 35 Officeworks stores), Telstra, Bunnings and with private development companies on commercial and medical projects, winning the Facility Management Association of Australia’s highest award in 1998.

Projects recently completed include; a boutique office building in Claremont Street South Yarra, UNIsity student apartments in Footscray, a $30m 15,500sqm suburban Regional Shopping Centre at Tarneit as well as 5 townhouses in Fitzroy and several private residences.

The primary current project for the studio is 2 seventeen story buildings in Yarra Street, South Yarra with a new pedestrian arcade.
