The Veterinary and Applied Sciences (VASC) project was undertaken for tafeSA through DTEI.

It comprised approximately 1300sq metres of new building and 3000sq metres of refurbishment.

Due to the complex nature of the laboratories, pathology, teaching and lecture accommodation and simulated vocational environments, an extensive user construction period occurred during the design stage.

The project provided a modern statement to reflect the aspirations of tafe into the future and was recently awarded an MBA award in the commercial buildings over $5 million (2007).

Matthews Architects are subsequently working on additional projects for tafe including the School of Paradental.
