This holiday house is situated on the Mornington Peninsula 1.5 hrs drive from Melbourne. Nestled within the tea–tree line on the sand dunes, the form of the building is based around the Klein bottle. The house revolves around a central courtyard that is wrapped by a red stair which in turn connects each room. As you move up the stairs smaller spaces branch off until you reach the highest level of the house and you meet an open plan living area. There is a sense of both being near and far to all occupants, but always connected with the external environment.
