Scott Brown Landscape Design
An integrated approach to creating a ‘sense of place’
Since 1993, Scott Brown & his talented team have been creating exciting & individual outdoor environments in which each individual element is planned as part of the overall outdoor environment. His integrated approach sees the finished outdoor living environment become a seamless blend of all elements so it can form an extension of the home itself. Scott's commissions encompass all facets of the outdoor landscape ranging from small urban courtyards to large rural properties in regional Victoria and even interstate. His work involves the design of entertaining areas, pools and spas, water features and most importantly, the gardens themselves.Having accumulated a long list of public and industry awards, including GOLD at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, Scott’s expertise & experience allows him to create a ‘sense of place’ in every project. It also enables him to simultaneously incorporate important considerations such as maintenance & drought sustainability.
Scott's body of work is large and each project is individually tailored to each of his clients. He is a contributing writer for several Australian publications including 'Backyard & Garden Design Ideas', and 'Lifestyle Pools'. Scott's work is featured in many major magazines both in Australia and internationally, including Trends, and Alfresco New Zealand and South Pacific.
Scott is also a consulting expert in sustainability, particularly in rain water and grey water storage, treatment and use for the garden.
The practice operates from two locations: Brighton and East Melbourne
Scott and his team believe the garden and its subsequent environment should say something about its owners – it should embrace and celebrate their lifestyle while complementing the style of the home. This sees a wide range of styles and formats created, ranging from traditional to contemporary, as well as native/indigenous and tropical gardens.
