Only meters away from the beach the owners wanted a modern landscape design while still having that coastal beach feel to complement their architectural designed home.

Built on a narrow block the house entrance was positioned to the side. The design had to lead visitors to the front door. Rendered raised garden beds with concrete pavers enhanced the colour and textures of the plants while complimenting the architecture of the house. Bamboo surrounded by off white pebbles was chosen as a neighbouring hedge for privacy. While coastal conditions can be hash the lushness of the bamboo foliage will thrive in these conditions.

Buxus Japonica was chosen to hedge inside the front sandstone wall. All the plants selected were suitable to coastal conditions with drought tolerant features incorporated where possible.
