The residence was flanked by two other homes along both side boundaries. The site perimeters where constrained so therefore I created angles within those spaces to create interest for a simple floor plan.

The tapered wall separates the front and rear zone, it creates privacy without completely separating the areas. The kitchen incorporated a raised timber floor to create interest in levels and varying finishes.

The stair and island bench also were tapered. The darker colours create warmth while still providing for a slick contemporary feel.
