The scope of works included the retention of an existing local heritage cottage with individual significance. The site was narrow with very low ceilings. The design incorporated the opening of the front areas to make the spaces appear larger. The rear area was a new extension with a modern edge incorporating clean lines and slick finishes. Overall the home which was only small was given an open feeling with the creative use of space to maximise such a small site.
