X:SCAPE EXTERIOR DESIGN is a young dynamic Landscape Architecture practice specializing in exclusive residential landscape design and construction.

We are committed to providing innovative, site and client sensitive architectural design based solutions. Our aim is to create beautifully simple, seamlessly functional and most importantly wholly unique, exterior environments. Each commission is designed to reflect our client's individual characters and needs, and above all is aimed at lifestyle enhancement through good, thoughtful design.

We believe that the synergy between the built environment and its surrounds is of paramount importance. In order to obtain these ends we create a customized palette of materials and design indicators. These are sourced from the built and interior environments and most importantly acknowledge the specific needs of each client. In doing so, we transform the exterior environment into a seamless extension of the home.

X:SCAPE's prestigious design work has been extensively featured in numerous national magazine publications including 'Home Beautiful' and 'Your Mortgage' magazine, as well as in the Herald Sun's 'Home' and 'Weekend' magazines, not to mention numerous local publications.

BRUCE BOSTON is X:SCAPE's director, possessing more than a decade's experience working in the Landscape Architecture and Construction industries.

He has a Masters degree in Urban Design (Oxford Brookes University, Oxford), an Honours degree in Landscape Architecture (Greenwich University, London) as well as a National Diploma in Landscape Technology / Horticulture (Natal Tech., Durban).

Prior to establishing X:SCAPE, he worked internationally for numerous Landscape Architecture practices and contractors in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, South Africa and locally for leading practices in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Bruce draws on his extensive international expertise coupled with his ability to really listen to his clients. His designs vary from classic to contemporary, both imbued with a fresh, refined look, whilst displaying highly individual design flavours. In conclusion, his work always adheres to two simple mantras, namely, 'less is more' and 'form follows function'.
