Denton Corker Marshall
Denton Corker Marshall is a leading international design practice, producing architecture in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Denton Corker Marshall’s work is characterised by the ability to solve complex design problems on every scale. From numerous design commissions for buildings of international significance to tunnel safety graphics, their approach consistently produces responsive, dynamic and highly original solutions. The city planning and urban studies work of the practice’s early years established an analytical rigour which remains a hallmark of the practice’s uncompromising attitude to technically outstanding, quality design.
Backed by large scale practice capabilities and experience, projects are delivered with a disciplined approach and benefit at every stage from the involvement of our hands-on directors.
The practice began in 1972 in Melbourne and has been giving the city new landmarks for nearly 40 years, including the Melbourne Museum, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the Melbourne Gateway and Webb Bridge. While Melbourne remains their design base, Denton Corker Marshall also has practices in London and Jakarta, with an international board of directors managing 140 architects and design staff across the three locations.
The quality of their work is recognised throughout peer and industry groups in Australia, Asia and Europe. The firm has a significant collection of Australian Institute of Architects national, state and special awards, and in 1996 the founding directors were jointly awarded the Institute’s highest and most prestigious honour, the Gold Medal.
The new Australian Embassy in Jakarta and an $800 million office development in Singapore are their largest current overseas projects.
