Brief: To design and document a concept retail experience of international status - a shrine to provide a variety of solutions for a broad range of custom-based activities that feed the emotions and senses.

1200 metres of retail required an open plan approach yet an individual tailored result for independent areas.

By creating a series of zones that all complement each other through innovative use of traditional construction techniques, separate spaces have evolved creating a visual spatial spectacle. Strong iconic geometric forms mixed with a pallet of natural materials all fuse into the opposite spectrum which includes curvaceous and synthetic substrates.

Creating six niche retail stores under one roof ie. open plan, concentration on each area was needed with careful consideration given to allow the space to work as one generic retail model. Time and consideration was spent on effective and efficient retail merchandise solutions, right down to the smallest detail.

The contemporary lounge has won several National awards and continues to set the bench mark in this sector of retail in New Zealand.
